Commissioning of 'Haixun 03' 5000-ton patrol and rescue ship, designed and built by CSSC
The 5,000-ton patrol and rescue ship Haixun 03 designed and built by CSSC has been commissioned by the Hainan Maritime Safety Administration, becoming the largest and most advanced ocean-going search and rescue vessel with the strongest overall strength in Hainan Free Trade Port.
Haixun 03 is 128.6 meters long, 16 meters wide and 7.9 meters deep. It has a displacement of 5,560t, a maximum speed of 22.8kn and can navigate around 10,000nm. It can carry 200 rescued people at once, and travel safely in the 9-level sea state and hurricane.
Haixun 03 is an integrated maritime mobile command center for maritime patrol and law enforcement, rescue, on-site emergency command, oil spills monitoring, firefighting, etc. It carries a drone and a medium helicopter and can execute these missions in severe weather.
